This is a completely new mold and is cast in Zamak It has subtle differences that distinguish it from the third French casting. The four exhaust stubs above the Six branch exhaust manifold have gone. There is then the addition of a raised circle cast around the racing numbers on each side. The highest racing number was 12.
The French model is on the left above and the English one on the right. The marks have changed orientation and the bulkhead beneath the driver’s headrest, just ahead of the rear axle, has been removed. There are many more bulkhead additions and changes to come in subsequent years as, we shall see later.
The rubber tires came in a variety of colours including; White, Blue, Green, Red. Any particular color was chosen to coordinate with a color on the same model.
Below on the left a Third Version French casting with the English Third Version on the right showing the difference in stencil patterns.
Finally below,a few pictures of the very desirable HUMBUG pattern. These are all from the internet.
